Who Am I?
I'm Mark. First and foremost, I'm a music fan - I have been since I first set my four year old eyes on my parents' collection of 60s, 70s and 80s vinyl. I been DJing professionally since 2017 and I've played over a hundred weddings, parties and functions all over the North of England - and I also have my own indie show on Real Rock Radio (Sundays @ 3pm if you're asking) . But whilst I'd class myself as an indie kid, I've grown up seeing (and enjoying) the rise of countless genres, from rave and trip hop to mainstream indie and punk (and even pop and r&b), so describing my taste as "eclectic" would be a huge understatement - I'll happily cater for all types of audience. My record collection started in 1989 and is still growing (yes, I do still buy music) and I've been putting together playlists and mixtapes for as long as I can remember, so if you're looking for a DJ but worry that mobile discos can be formulaic and cheesy, then you've come to the right place!
No matter how seriously you take your music, all I want is for you to have a good time, dancing and singing to the tunes that will make your night stand out and be remembered for years to come - avoiding the cheese and the cliches, I put 100% into making your night unique. |
Totally Collaborative
Self indulgent DJs and discos where only the happy couple are enjoying themselves can be the worst so I like to make my nights as collaborative as possible taking each client and their guests' needs into account. In the case of weddings, obviously the bride and groom are the most important people, but a party isn’t a great party unless your guests enjoy it too. My personalised service means I’ll only play the tunes that you and your guests want to hear. And getting Granny on the floor doesn’t necessarily need the likes of YMCA or the Grease Megamix either – I’ve seen many a pensioner dancing to Gerry Cinnamon and Hot Chip (and, more worryingly, twerking to Beyonce!)
It’s up to you how involved you want to be but I’m guessing you don’t want to sort it all out, otherwise you wouldn’t be on my website - you can either tell me what to play or if you just give me a list of your favourite bands/songs and/or any bands/songs that you definitely DO NOT want to hear, I’ll put together a playlist to reflect your taste and strive to give you the best night of your life, with the all-important element of surprise (Hint: Livin’ on a Prayer doesn’t have to be immediately followed up by Summer of ’69!). With access to a huge library of songs, the world of music is your oyster.

Professional & Affordable
Depending on how long you want me (along with evening entertaining I can also provicde the background music for any ceremony and wedding breakfast) packages start at just £350 but give us a call on 07581 315845 or fill in my contact form on my RSVP page and I'll provide you with a detailed quote. Unlike a lot of other DJs, I don’t charge a premium just because I can seamlessly mash up The Final Countdown with I am The Resurrection, or because one of my remixes has had 40 views on Youtube. Many wedding DJs also have club nights and well paying residencies that they’re turning down to play at your wedding or they might get work through an agency who take a hefty commission. I just love listening to and playing music, so a good playlist and, ultimately, your satisfaction is my absolute priority.
